BLOG POST #1: What is Anime?

Your childhood must be boring if you hadn't been addicted to either Cartoons or Anime. Who wouldn't love watching those entertaining and amusing shows that will keep you busy all day? Admit it, you also love watching those that it comes to the point that you even copy their signature words or lines like “Kame hame wave” by San Goku from Dragon Ball Z and “Kagi bunching technique 2x 2x” by Naruto from Naruto. Oh, how I idolized those anime characters that I'm still watching it until now.

Anime refers to a Japanese animation, Japanese comics and it developed it into a picture over hundred years ago. By the early 20th century, manga had become a main form of literature for most of Japanese society. On the other side anime film-making started at Europe and U.S. When it appeared in Japan it became popular and after a year some animated films create more anime manga. Due to these results, it's popularity became appealing to the eye of a readers. However Anime started in a newspaper and it became a comics because of its popularity it evolve and became a manga. With the help of technology Anime become a simple black and white film and later transform into colored.

When I was searching for a more information I see this site and I think I can learn something new that I need, and this site is "Mangafox" it indicates to this site that  Anime has different types or genres. There are a lot of genre but I only choose the genre that we do not know already and these are Kodomo, Shounen, Shojo, Seinen, Josei, Ecchi, Hentai, and Harem which is I provide my own explanation to it but I also base in the meaning that I read.

• KODOMO- also known as a children's genre because some of people who watch this type of anime are children. Examples are “Hamtaro, Doraemon, and Pokemon”.
  
• SHOUNEN- is a romantic and more about love. Some of the audience of this type is teenage boy around the ages of 12-16. Examples are “Bakugan, Slam dunk”.
  
• SHOJO- it is a type of anime that for girls only around the age of 13-16 and in this anime more on love, relationship or, fairytale. Example “Sailor moon, and Totally spice”.
  
• SEINEN- is for boys only around age of 18 up meaning more matured because it can be a comedy, drama, love story, and hentai.
  
• JOSEI- same with seinen anime but this is for girl only.
  
• ECCHI- it is a type of anime that has a sexual intercourse. Meaning this anime is for adult and matured only.
  
• HENTAI- is an anime version of pornography. There is on screen sex most of the audience of this anime are boys.
  
• HAREM- it is a type of anime where a male character is surrounded by many female characters meaning the focus of this anime is more on dating. Example “Love Hina”.

Instead of smoking, drinking and gambling, why don't you just watch anime. You can learn a lot in every anime that you will watch Why? Because I believe that “In every story there should be a lesson learned”. Another thing is when you are watch anime it will help you improved your vocabulary. In regards to the technology there are anime that also focus this genre and as an IT student this will also help me foresight the future trends of technology.
